♫  A Faylene Sky, hailing from Providence, RI, has made a name for themselves in the southeastern New England music scene. I can’t even list all of the bands they’ve opened for or festivals they’ve played, but believe me- it’s a lot. Even if you’re not a fan of screamo music as a whole, you’ll find something you like in A Faylene Sky’s library. Even the pop/r&b fans can appreciate their covers of Katy Perry’s “I Kissed A Girl” and Taio Cruz’s “Break Your Heart” [heard above]. ♫ Forgive me for slacking on the description here, it’s been a while, but I’m going to just leave you with The Invite. Straight out of Nashville, Rhode Island. Yes, you heard right. This was once a little pop punk band from Providence, RI. They grew up, changed their vibe, moved to Nashville, and signed with Atlantic Records (Matchbox 20, Jason Mraz, Phil Collins, etc). What?! Yeah, it happened. Maybe you aren’t a huge country fan… but you should check them out anyway. Because even if you don’t dig their tunes, you’ll dig their charm… and you’ll pay money to see them anyway. :)

♫ I like Lannen Fall. A lot. They’re one of the main reasons I tolerate Boston’s existence. Their lyrics are catchy, their music is rock with just enough pop, and their lead singer’s voice? Hot. AND! They made a music video with Guy Manly Movies. You’ll be hearing more about them in the future- count on it. Not to mention, they just won a battle of the bands to open for Saosin on the PacSun Tour this December. ROCK.

♫ Jet Lag Gemini, out of New Jersey, definitely knows what’s up. They’ve played Warped Tour, they’re on Doghouse Records (don’t act like you don’t know how awesome THAT is), and 3/4 of them aren’t even from this country. Hot? I think yes. If you like rock music with the tiniest hint of pop, you’ll like these guys.
